PARKER, CO, August 11, 2012 (Press-News.org) Leanne Osgood brings real-life experience and passion to her position as one of the South Denver area's green real estate brokers.
Osgood and her family are in Colorado to stay, but she and her husband, Bob, moved frequently in the early years of their marriage. Because of all of those moves, she said she knows first-hand what it takes to be a good real estate agent.
She also was a sales representative for Helix Wind, selling wind turbines in 15 states and becoming thoroughly educated in energy efficiency and sustainability.
"I didn't just turn green. I've always been a greenie," said Osgood, adding that she isn't a "tree hugger" but does drive a Prius and started a green team at her children's elementary school in Texas.
"It's important for me and my kids to have a healthy environment," she said. "The Osgood Team isn't green because it's trendy and sexy. The Osgood Team is green because we want people to live in homes that are healthy and efficient to run."
Although the farm girl from North Dakota entered the real estate profession during its economic downturn, she wasn't fazed by that fact.
"I went into the market when it was bad because I knew I had something different to offer - in my background and my passions," she explained. "I'm an agent for today's market," technologically savvy and passionate about energy efficiency and healthy environments, she said.
Noting that "every day we're assaulted by chemicals," she said she also works with clients to make their homes healthy for their families. People who have chemical sensitivities or health issues such as allergies or auto immune diseases need to know how to make their home their friend, not their enemy.
From her past moving experience, she said she is dedicated to giving her clients what she wanted out of a real estate agent - communication and hard work.
"I'm the hardest worker they're going to meet," she said. "I'm also highly communicative. You will never wonder what's going on throughout the process."
Osgood also is active in the community as a member of the Parker Chamber of Commerce and the congregation at Southeast Christian Church. She also is a member of the Hidden River Home Owners Association Board and is involved with various children's groups.
The Osgood Team works out of Rocky Mountain Real Estate Advisors in downtown Parker. You can learn more about Osgood and her team at http://www.osgoodteam.com, facebook.com/osgoodteam or twitter.com/osgoodteamre or by calling 303.810.5757.
