SheerID Releases New Infographic: "Selling Software to College Students"

SheerID created a new infographic, "Selling Software to College Students", using statistics from their recent survey. The infographic includes tips and facts to help software retailers and resellers successfully market to college students.

2012-08-24
EUGENE, OR, August 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) When SheerID crunched the numbers from their most recent student survey, even they were surprised by the results. As experts in the field of online discounts, they already knew that student discounts were under used by college students, but they didn't realize that 66% of college students didn't even realize they were eligible for discounts on software. Armed with their new shocking statistics, they set out to create an infographic to help retailers and marketers reach the valuable academic market and sell more software.

SheerID's resulting infographic is based on the results of three surveys SheerID has conducted over the past year. It was answered by students currently enrolled in 2 year, 4 year, and graduate degree programs. The survey was taken both electronically and manually and focused on college students' use of student discounts.

"Most software retailers and resellers offer academic discounts," explains Jake Weatherly, CEO of SheerID. "But if you want to reach the student market, offering a discount is just the first step. We thought this infographic would be an interesting way to educate companies about how to actually reach college students while increasing awareness about SheerID's verification solution."
