ATLANTA, GA, September 05, 2012 (Press-News.org) Peanut butter and jelly, hamburgers and fries, and hip hop and R & B are some of the world's best combinations! Yes, you can have either without the other, but together they make one extraordinary connection. One potentially legendary connection that has been put together by a twist of fate is Southern rapper "Jawz of Life" and R&B singer "Monica Monet." The two renowned storytellers have teamed up for one purpose and one purpose only: Good Music!
The first release from this dynamic duo is "Teach Me." Jawz ushers in the smooth, jazzy single, flowing about how he wants to impress his new lady, which is then polished by Monica's vocal invitation to "teach me." Both eventually chime in to form a musical combination that most will remember long after the music stops. Like the glue for every great combination, the duo brought in Muudz Muzik, out of Atlanta, Georgia, to produce the hit track.
Jawz, a member of the Dungeon Family 2nd Generation, is well-known for his animated, sometimes fun-loving rap style. Now living in Los Angeles, he is originally from Decatur, Georgia. Meanwhile, Monica, also Southern bred, is from Philadelphia, Mississippi, but now lives in Jacksonville, Florida. Her vocal style is reminiscent of Jill Scott infused with Lauren Hill.
While working together, both are still working on independent projects that will be due out later this year. Jawz, in fact, will be releasing his first single from "I Took Tha Stairs," as early as October 2012. Visit his site at jawzoflife.com for updates on that, as well as his new release with Monica, who just released her most personal CD to date "Simply Beautiful, The Love, The Hurt, The Rebirth."
