Stewart Engineering And HadenStanziale Finalize Merger Agreement

North Carolina Engineering And Landscape Architecture Firms Join To Operate Under the Name Stewart

RALEIGH, NC, September 26, 2012 (Press-News.org) Stewart Engineering and HadenStanziale, two well-known engineering and landscape architecture firms, have announced that the two companies are operating as one as of September 15. The new name of their combined entities is Stewart. The merger makes the company one of the largest engineering and landscape architecture design firms based in North Carolina. With a total of 115 employees and 60 licensed professionals, Stewart is headquartered in downtown Raleigh and has offices in Durham and Charlotte. The firm provides land planning and design, structural and civil engineering, transportation, geomatics and construction services.

Stewart will be led by Robert Macia, PE, LEED AP, who will serve as president of the newly merged firm. Willy Stewart, PE will continue as Chairman and CEO. George Stanziale, ASLA and Jim Haden, ASLA, co-founders of HadenStanziale will both remain with the firm in senior leadership positions and will direct the Land Planning and Design Studios. The merger will strengthen the firm's collaborative cross-discipline approach to projects by offering a more comprehensive suite of services with enhanced design sophistication. Over the last 18 years, Stewart Engineering and HadenStanziale have worked on a number of notable projects together including projects at North Carolina A&T State University, Duke University, Raleigh-Durham International Airport and NC State University
