SEATTLE, WA, October 15, 2010 (Press-News.org) RPI (www.rpiprint.com), a leader in automated manufacturing and fulfillment for the consumer make-on-demand printed products market, today announced that it earned its first Certificate of Excellence in the 2010 American Graphic Design Awards competition. RPI's concept design for a hip, personalized book aimed at the Facebook crowd won the "Books" category in a year when more than 8,000 overall entries were received.
"During the past year, RPI has steadily expanded its creative design capabilities in order to offer customers unique, one-of-a-kind personalized products that meet the needs of their target consumers," said Traci Pichette, vice president of product management for RPI. "We're pleased that the editors at Graphic Design USA chose to recognize one of our product designs for an award - particularly a concept that was created to appeal to the Millennial Generation, traditionally a more difficult demographic to assess and understand."
This is the first time RPI has earned an accolade for its visual design studio. Its concept design for the award-winning fold stitched book features hip and trendy styles, colors and design templates that enable teens to unleash their creativity and publish their impressions of their fast-changing worlds.
For over 40 years, the American Graphic Design Award competition has honored graphic design firms, advertising agencies, in-house corporate and institutional designers, publishers and other media producers across the USA. This year there were 23 categories, ranging from print and packaging to internet and interactive design.
