NORWALK, CT, December 09, 2012 (Press-News.org) Landmark Exteriors, Inc., a Norwalk-based roofing, siding and gutter design and installation company founded in 1996, has been selected as the exclusive Connecticut-based authorized dealer and installer of Dow POWERHOUSE Solar Shingles, an award-winning residential roofing system that protects like a standard shingle, but also has embedded solar cells to power the home.

In an announcement yesterday by Dow Solar, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, Landmark Exteriors was named an exclusive POWERHOUSE Authorized Dealer. In comparison to other solar roofing systems on the market, POWERHOUSE Solar Shingles are designed to look like traditional roofing shingles, and can be installed seamlessly into a new or existing roof.

"Our clients invest in exquisite roofing design solutions that increase the value of their homes over time," said J. Scott Teed, founder of Landmark Exteriors. "By offering this innovative Solar Shingle system, our clients will realize an immediate return on investment, without sacrificing the aesthetics they have come to expect from Landmark Exteriors."

"We are excited to be working with Landmark Exteriors," said Dan Petzolt, Dow Solar Commercial Director. "Landmark's reputation for quality and craftsmanship was an important factor in choosing them as an authorized POWERHOUSE dealer."

"We are impressed with the technology behind the system," added Teed, "especially the web-based monitoring system that provides real-time performance data to the homeowner."

In addition to working with homeowners, architects and builders in Connecticut, Landmark Exteriors also serves Westchester County, the north shore of Long Island and the Hamptons.
