Local Real Estate Manager Earns Professional Certification

Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification

CHESAPEAKE, VA, December 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Lynnette Blow-Holmes, Property Manager of Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority, headquartered in NEWPORT NEWS, has earned the ACCREDITED RESIDENTIAL MANAGER (ARM ) certification from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM ), an affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS . The ARM certification is awarded to managers of residential real estate properties who have met the Institute's rigorous requirements in the areas of professional education, examination and experience. ARM Members must also abide by a rigorous Code of Professional Ethics that is strictly enforced by the Institute.

Ms. Blow-Holmes began her journey in Property Management as a Senior Clerk Typist with Newport Redevelopment and Housing in October of 1993. She assisted with a portfolio of two multifamily communities that consisted of 584 units. She was promoted to Assistant Property Manager and maintained that position for five years until January of 1999 when she was promoted to Property Manager for two multifamily communities that consist of a portfolio of approximately 500 units. She was introduced to the Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program in 2004 and is now certified in LIHTC and earned her HCCP, Housing Credit Certified Professional credentials.

Ms. Blow-Holmes currently manages a total of four properties, three tax credit properties (2 multifamily and 1 senior housing midrise and 1 other senior housing midrise with the Newport News Redevelopment and Housing Authority.
