21st Annual KidsAuction to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme will host the 21st Annual Donald K. Facciano KidsAuction November 13, at the Residence Inn by Marriott Hotel in Oxnard.

OXNARD, CA, October 20, 2010 (Press-News.org) The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme will host the 21st Annual Donald K. Facciano KidsAuction November 13, at the Residence Inn by Marriott Hotel, 2101 W. Vineyard Ave., Oxnard. The event, also known as the Black and White Gala, is the organization's largest special event fundraiser and all proceeds go to fund programs at the 18 Boys & Girls Clubs sites within Oxnard and Port Hueneme to serve more than 7,200 youth. Last year, more than 300 attendees helped the club raise $220,000, and organizers aim to raise even more this year.

The evening will start at 6 p.m. with a silent auction before the dinner and a live auction afterwards. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on exotic vacations, VIP experiences, sports tickets and memorabilia, men's and women's items, in addition to special tours. The BGCOP "Voices of Hope Choir," a joint partnership with the Rio School District, will perform at the event.

Receiving special honors at the event this year are John and Linda Dullam, owners of Dullam Nursery in Oxnard. "The Dullams are very devoted to helping children become high achievers of good character. They have contributed generously as volunteers in the clubhouses and as donors. They have made a very positive impact in this community through their work here, and we are so proud to recognize them for their years of service and commitment," said Tim Blaylock, chief professional officer of the Club.

Major sponsors of this year's auction include Gills Onions, VCDSA, Sysco Food Services of Ventura, Southern California Edison, Rabobank, City National Bank, First California Bank, Bunnin, County Commerce Bank, Willenius, Sunbelt and Team Infiniti.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Oxnard and Port Hueneme exists to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens.
