BURBANK, CA, February 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Survival Strategies, Inc., a California-based consulting company, recently held its annual client convention at the Hilton Rose Hall Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. For 27 years, Survival Strategies, Inc. has been teaching healthcare professionals how to successfully run a private practice. The convention provides an opportunity for practice owners to celebrate their achievements for the past year and to make plans for expansion into the next. Among those in attendance were physical therapists, speech pathologists, audiologists, chiropractors and massage, occupational and pediatric therapists.
CEO and Co-Founder, Craig Ferreira said, "Building a successful private practice is more challenging than it has ever been before. The purpose of our annual conventions is to provide our clients with the latest and most effective marketing and management strategies that have been proven to get results. We also schedule in a little bit of time for some fun in the sun."
Billed as "The Facets of a Blue Diamond Practice," the convention featured a series of presentations and workshops that covered such subjects as hiring, relationship development, productivity, public relations, team building and quality assurance.
One of the core concepts of the event was the therapist's social responsibility to their local community. Being the leaders in non-invasive healthcare, it is their duty to let their community know of the tremendous benefits that their professions provide. As one attendee put it, "I realized after today that there are so many more ways of marketing. Looking beyond the dollar and at what we can give back to the community as a way to grow our business is a great concept."
Another hot topic was the subject of "patient referrals." "Happy patients will send in their friends and family" said Senior Quality Assurance Consultant, Javier Guerrero. Through a series of discussions clients were shown how they could develop an additional source of referrals through a patient reward program. "How a patient is treated from first visit to last will greatly influence your word-of-mouth advertising. Every interaction must be assessed for maximum customer service" said Senior Consultant, Ximena Smith.
The most anticipated feature of the four-day convention was the networking event dubbed as the "Owner's Round Table." In a moderated setting, practice owners are able to openly discuss and brainstorm a variety of issues with other practice owners. From salaries to reimbursement rates, the round table offered valuable insight to those in attendance.
The convention concluded with a special address from CEO, Craig Ferreira. He wished continued prosperity to all and invited them to share their success with their colleagues by referring them to Survival Strategies for a courtesy consultation.
