Murata Machinery's Fabrication Division Hires Dorman as New Western Regional Sales Manager

Murata Machinery USA, Inc. has appointed Rick Dorman as Western Regional Sales Manager for the Fabrication Division, to coordinate sales efforts with dealers in Texas, Oklahoma and all states west, as well as in the western extremity of Canada.

CHARLOTTE, NC, March 15, 2013 (Press-News.org) Murata Machinery USA, Inc. has appointed Rick Dorman as Western Regional Sales Manager for the Fabrication Division. In his new position, Dorman will coordinate sales efforts with dealers in Texas, Oklahoma and all states west, as well as in the western extremity of Canada.

"Rick brings a wealth of experience to his new position," said Cary Teeple, Sales Manager for Murata Machinery's Fabrication Products. "Growth opportunities abound in the western United States and British Columbia, and we're excited to have Rick as part of our team."

A 30-year veteran of the sheet metal industry, Dorman previously managed day-to-day operations for a fabricating manufacturer, defined and developed markets for new tooling products, and managed manufacturing nesting software projects.

Commenting on his new position, Dorman said, "There are definitely growth areas in the region. "I'm looking forward to taking on the challenge of harnessing those opportunities."

Charlotte-based Murata Machinery USA Inc. specializes in applications, service and sales of turret punch presses under the Muratec brand. Murata's fabrication division, formerly Murata Wiedemann, supplies mechanical, servo-drive, laser hybrid and punch/plasma hybrid turret punch presses.
