Burnt at the Steak Set to Sizzle & Entertain Frisco Audiences April 6-7

FRISCO, TX, April 05, 2013 (Press-News.org) Frisco Arts will be hosting the Frisco premiere of the internationally acclaimed, award-winning one-woman musical comedy Burnt at the Steak, created and performed by New York City artist, Carolann Valentino. All performances will take place at the Frisco Discovery Art Center April 6 at 8 PM and on April 7 at 3 PM.

"Burnt," a top musical comedy with a message, is based on a true story about a young aspiring female artist of Italian descent who leaves Texas for New York City to pursue a theatrical career. Soon after arriving inthe "Big Apple" she lands a "rare" day job managing a multi million-dollar steakhouse in the heart of Manhattan. Herexperiences in this male-dominated industry teach hervaluable lessons that help transform her life.

As the stress of trying to balance a performing arts career with a day job takes its toll emotionally and physically, shefinds herself faced with having to make a choice between following her dreams and holding on to the security of a six figure salary with all the perks. Will she play it safe or take a leap of faith?

Restaurant staff members and the A-list clientele provide the basis for entertainment that "sizzles." Carolann has theaudience howling with laughter as she brilliantly morphs into 18 hilarious characters. Through song, dance, and audienceinteraction, each show becomes a unique and spontaneous experience.

BIOGRAPHY
Carolann Valentino is a gifted actor, comic, singer, dancer, producer and writer currently working out of New York City. For the past two years, Carolannhas been on international tour, performing her critically acclaimed, one-woman musical comedy Burnt at the Steak to packed houses throughout Canada and the United States. The show was chosen "Top Pick" at the California Rogue and Boulder International Fringe Festivals and Fringe Festivals throughout Canada. Each night she played to sold-out houses. In 2013 the show is set to play in Orlando, Hollywood and Las Vegas.

As a solo comic, Carolann can be seen throughout NYC top comedy clubs including: Caroline's, Gotham, and the legendary Feinstein's at the Regency. She has opened for greats such as BilBellamy and appeared on the dais for the Sopranos celebrity roast. Carolann previously touredinternationally with the all-star female hit comedy show, "The Italian Chicks."

She is currently the host of a new TV show "A Slice of the City," intended for the Food Networkand set to air later this year. TV credits include: As the World Turns (recurring role), Hell'sKitchen, The Tyra Banks Show, Comedy Comcast, ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning Texas, NBC KSEE-TV and VH-1.
