Rabine Utility Paving Begins Expanding on Vacuum Excavation Initiative

Rabine Utility Paving is working to expand its Vacuum Excavation services.

2013-04-06
SCHAUMBURG, IL, April 06, 2013 (Press-News.org) Rabine Utility Paving is the leader in utility paving services in the Midwest, completing up to 10,000 utility patches each year for utility companies, facility managers, homeowners associations, and municipalities.
Rabine Utility Paving is working to expand its Vacuum Excavation services.

As directional drilling has become popular as an efficient way of installing pipe systems, issues have arose from these horizontal drills breaking into other pipelines, causing serious and even life-threatening problems. In order to check for these issues before they become a larger problem, workers send in a televised vehicle that is able to give workers an inside view to any breaks inside of the pipelines - a process called Pipeline Televising.

Rabine Group's partner company Pipe View works with various contractors, manufacturers, and municipalities to inspect sewer systems using Pipeline Televising. Pipe View experts use a televised vehicle which can travel through mud and water to thoroughly inspect the pipelines. However, these pipelines can become clogged, preventing the vehicle from traveling further through the pipes. It is estimated that 20% of sewers cannot be excavated with just the camera as a result of other debris.

Rather than hand digging which can prove to be an inefficient and often ineffective way to clear debris, Vacuum Excavation works through suction and water jets, clearing out any debris in the pipelines and enabling the televised vehicle to enter the pipes, providing workers with a clear view of any breaks or gaps that need to be fixed and filled.

Rabine Utility Paving is currently seeking to expand on the Vacuum Excavation Initiative. For more information on Rabine Utility Paving and their future endeavors, contact Keith Griffin at keithgriffin@rabinegroup.com.
