MILLINGTON, TN, April 13, 2013 (Press-News.org) Unistar-Sparco Computers, Inc. hosted the K-12 Staff Shoot-Out in the Opus Room of the FedEx Forum located in historic downtown Memphis on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm. The event featured vendor exhibits which displayed the latest technologies offered by Lenovo and IBM. Among the attendees were Memphis City School and Shelby County School professionals, two school districts that will merge into a consolidated district in the summer.

"Because we understand how important it is in order to be successful, we invited a motivational speaker, Ms. Ruby Payne, to address embracing change. This effort was in support of our customers who are about to experience a merger between their two school systems," said Eduardo Perez-Glez, Operations and Business Development Manager for Unistar-Sparco. "What better token of appreciation could we bestow than providing words of compassion and strengthening when they are needed the most?"

Unistar-Sparco recognized key Information Technology (IT) programming, installation, and service team members responsible for efficiently fulfilling contract requirements for Memphis City Schools and Shelby County Schools. Cameo Monroe, Joseph Beavers, Michael Meyer, and Saxon Kimbrough were recognized for excellent performance, while Rodney Thomas and Keith Clark received awards for their outstanding work. Fun was had by all and there was no shortage in celebration, both before and after the victory for the Memphis Grizzlies over the San Antonio Spurs that evening!
