PTAC of Schoolcraft College May 16 Workshop with Gloria Larkin Intends to Grow $6.9 Billion Federal Contracting Market in Michigan

Michigan Large and Small Businesses Learn How to Build Revenues and Add Jobs as Federal Contractors with "Government Contractor Gap Analysis"

2013-05-08
BALTIMORE, MD, May 08, 2013 (Press-News.org) In fiscal year 2012, the Federal Government spent over $6.9 Billion in Michigan in 89,670 transactions. Instructor Gloria Larkin intends to grow this market through the workshop, "Government Contractor Gap Analysis" held at the Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) of Schoolcraft College in Livonia, Michigan. Nationally recognized federal business development expert and TargetGov President Gloria Larkin will instruct the workshop on May 16, 2013 from 9:00am to 12:00pm. The cost of the event is $75 per attendee. Learn more information about the event and register by calling toll-free 866-579-1346 or visiting http://www.targetgov.com/Content.asp?id=2890.

"Government Contractor Gap Analysis" covers business gap analysis using real examples to show companies how to analyze their existing business to determine the best strategy, navigate the mandatory and optional registrations, deal with competition, and cover the collateral materials that must be used to see success in selling to the federal market.

Other topics include how market gap analysis can help uncover what exactly federal agencies are purchasing, who is winning contracts, and the vehicles the federal government is using to purchase products and services. The workshop will wrap up with the ten most common mistakes to avoid in the federal marketplace and specific ways to avoid them. These common mistakes have a significant impact on a company's ability to sell to the federal government.

In addition to the workshop, attendees will receive a 70+ page reusable workbook (as an electronic file) detailing all topics and reports, a Capability Statement Content Guide, and a Capability Statement Analysis and Grade from TargetGov. After the workshop Gloria Larkin will be available to sign copies of her book, The Basic Guide to Government Contracting, also available for purchase at a discount at the event.

Utilizing these tools will help attendees see more success in the federal contracting market, a competitive and rapidly changing market that requires companies keep up with current trends and marketing strategies.

To register for the event go to http://www.targetgov.com/Content.asp?id=2890, or call toll-free 866-579-1346.
