DirectRooms.com reports that Basketball fans heading to the Maldives can go to watch the best teams from the islands competing in the finals of the country's leading basketball tournament.

PHUKET, THAILAND, November 16, 2010 (Press-News.org) Teams from around the country will be taking part in the Maldives Basketball Association Championship with games being held from 22nd November to 11th December 2010.

The tournament will see clubs competing from both the men's first and second divisions as well as the best players from the women's division. All the teams from division one will be looking to see if they can beat the current champions Victory Sports Club who have won the competition for the last six consecutive years.

In division two Red Line Club (RLC) will be the team to beat this year as they out played Club Valencia to take the title in 2009. The champions were also the winners of the women's division and will be looking to put out a strong performance again in 2010.

Spectators at the games can go courtside to see all of the action and see if they agree with the tournament organisers who will be casting votes on who the best players of the competition have been.

Visitors using a hotel Maldives wanting to go and see the games can get tickets on the day as the games take place at sports centers across the islands.
