Long & Foster Releases Real Estate Search App for Android

Powerful Property Search for Consumers

2011-05-19
MIDDLEBURG, VA, May 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Long & Foster Real Estate, Inc., the largest independently-held residential real estate company in the United States, has announced the release of the Android version its real estate search app, previously available for the iPhone and iPad. The app puts Long & Foster's powerful property search in consumers' hands, allowing them to use their mobile devices as they search for information about real estate.

The Long & Foster app is free to download and allows consumers and agents to search listings anytime, anywhere. With this app, customers can search for nearby properties and refine the search based on property type, price range, number of bedrooms, and more.

In addition to search capabilities, the app offers automatic notification whenever a property matching the search criteria becomes available; the ability to save notes, photos, and even videos about favorite properties; information about the demographics of each neighborhood, including population characteristics, education, and the average income of local residents; and school data, including all public and private schools located in the community.

"With thousands of consumers already using the iPhone/iPad versions of our property search app, it was a natural extension to create an Android version for the growing user base of this popular platform," says Jeffrey S. Detwiler, president and chief operating officer of The Long & Foster Companies. "Long & Foster remains committed to being on the leading edge of technology and providing consumers with the tools they need to make informed real estate decisions, even when they're on the go."

Buyers can use the real estate search app to quickly get in touch with an experienced Long & Foster sales associate. "All versions of our app were designed to pack maximum information into a user-friendly experience, including valuable add-ons to make the on-the-go home shopping experience more streamlined and organized," says Michael Koval, chief information officer for Long & Foster. "In addition, users will find that our industry-leading team of highly-trained and knowledgeable agents is no more than a finger tap away."
