WHITELEY, ENGLAND, June 09, 2011 (Press-News.org) Global property group Goodman has secured three lettings combining over 15,000 sq ft at its Solent Business Park, Fareham, Hampshire.
Tikit Group plc, the leading independent provider of IT consultancy, services and software to legal and accounting firms, has let 6,000 sq ft and will occupy the whole of building 1590 on the park.
Joining Tikit as a new occupier on the park is Machtech Group, an AIM listed technical and professional outsourcing recruitment group. Mactech is a market leader with over 25 years experience delivering complex recruitment projects and programmes. The company will be moving to Building 1490, taking 4,500 sq ft over two floors which will house its newly formed Alderwood Education and Barclay Meade operations on the park
Completing the three lettings on the park .is ODT Business Interiors, a company specialising in office fit outs, relocation and refurbishments. The firm will occupy 3,500 sq ft on the ground floor of building 1580.
ODT Business Interiors will be providing the office fit outs for both Tikit and Machtech, in addition to their own premises.
The three new occupiers join a range of high profile occupiers, in the first phase of the 2.55 million sq ft business park, including Zurich Insurance for its European HQ, National Air Traffic Services, Regus and Meridian Television.
Following the success of the park's first phase, which has consistently attracted significant occupier interest, Goodman is planning a second phase of development, earmarking an adjacent 16.8 acre site for expansion.
James Raven, Development Director for Goodman's UK Business Parks, said: "Solent Business Park continues to attract new businesses to the region, with its high quality office space, excellent transport links and amenities, which provide a compelling offer for occupiers. We are delighted to welcome Tikit, ODT Business Interiors and Machtech to the park, and are confident that continued occupier interest will facilitate the second phase of development."
The second phase will offer bespoke space for businesses to grow, situated close to major transport infrastructure between Southampton and Portsmouth. The site benefits from existing planning consent which can service requirements from 30,000 sq ft to in excess of 250,000 sq ft of business accommodation all surrounded by natural woodland.
Solent Business Park is acknowledged as the premier out of town business location on the South Coast. A major attraction is the combination of a sheltered location with direct access to Junction 9 of the M27 motorway, which is just 12 miles from Southampton International Airport. The park is also well served by 60 retailers, based at the Whitely Village Outlet Shopping Centre and the nearby Meadowside Leisure centre.
King Sturge and Hughes Ellard represented Goodman.
