TUSTIN, CA, August 27, 2011 (Press-News.org) Farmers & Merchants Bank (F&M) today finalized plans to relocate its San Clemente branch to a beautiful new location at 621 N. El Camino Real. The new facility will feature an additional 2,100 square feet of space, increased parking capacity and a distinctive architectural style harkening back to San Clemente's historic Spanish roots. The branch will officially open for business on August 29, and F&M will hold a public grand opening celebration on September 24 from 11am - 2pm.
"Our San Clemente branch has experienced substantial growth, necessitating a larger building to better serve our current local customers while also effectively catering to the needs of the many new ones we are excited to welcome," said W. Henry Walker, CEO of F&M Bank. "This move will provide an even higher level of banking convenience within an attractive environment that is quintessentially 'San Clemente.'"
The 8,200-square-foot building is located on the corner of El Camino Real and Miraposa and is designed in the architectural tradition of San Clemente's Spanish Colonial Revival, including a decorative tower, round arched openings and dark mahogany wood windows and doors.
The grand opening event will offer a true taste of San Clemente culture with live music from The Eliminators, a legendary surf band that has opened for Jimmy Buffett, and barbecue from local favorite Bad to the Bone. Guests also will have the opportunity to enter a drawing to win a special prize.
F&M's final day of operation at its current location at 501 N. El Camino Real will be Friday, August 26. The bank will be closed on Saturday, August 27, to facilitate the relocation prior to resuming operations at its new location on August 29.
