Hotels-London.co.uk - Cinderella is Brought to Life in London

An adaptation of Cinderella is being performed in London during the Sadler's Wells Christmas season, but there are plenty of surprises in store.

2010-10-24
LONDON, ENGLAND, October 24, 2010 (Press-News.org) Travellers can bring a little magic into their next trip to Park Lane hotels by heading to a London theatre for a dazzling production of Cinderella.

However, anyone expecting to see the classic interpretation of the much-loved fairytale may be surprised to hear that this adaptation takes place in relatively modern times.

"Set in London during the Second World War, Matthew Bourne's interpretation of Prokofiev's haunting score has, at its heart, a true wartime romance and his storytelling has never been more passionate and touching," explained the organisers.

The story sees an RAF fighter pilot fall in love with Cinderella, before the Blitz separates the two.

As well as being carried away by the romance of the tale, guests attending from accommodation such as Park Lane Mews Hotel London will be treated to some hilarious moments along the way.

But with wartime Britain providing the background setting to the story, there are more than a few terrifying moments that will have audiences on the edge of their seats.

The production is being performed at Sadler's Wells theatre from November 30th 2010 to January 23rd 2011 as part of the venue's Christmas season, which also includes an interpretation of The Snowman.

Admission costs between GBP10 and GBP50, with evening shows beginning at 19:30 GMT and matinee performances starting at 14:30.

For more information on this event visit the Sadler's Wells website or contact the venue on 0844 4124300.
