Nicole Lyons Joins the Royal Purple Family With NASCAR Associate Sponsorship

African-American Racecar Driver, Nicole Lyons secures support of premium synthetic oil company Royal Purple for NASCAR and NHRA 2013 race season.

2013-04-18
LOS ANGELES, CA, April 18, 2013 (Press-News.org) Race Car Driver, Nicole Lyons today announced her partnership with premium synthetic lubricant manufacturer Royal Purple as an official associate sponsor. Lyons is competing in the NASCAR Late Model Series (LMS), Limited Late Model Series (LLMS), and NHRA Top Sportsman Series for the 2013 season. In addition to Royal Purple's sponsorship commitment, Lyons was introduced earlier this month as the first of three featured Outperformers in the second season of the Royal Purple Outperformer Series.

Royal Purple selected Lyons as an Outperformer for her abilities as an award-winning engine builder, her success as a businesswoman who owns a restoration shop in Southern California, and her dedication as a pioneering female driver on the NASCAR and NHRA circuits. "We received tremendous feedback from last year's Outperformer series," said Royal Purple's Marketing Director, Randy Fisher. "This season we continue to feature leaders in their respective fields who emulate the idea that an Outperformer comes in all shapes and sizes, and from all walks of life."

Lyons is currently the only woman racing simultaneously in NHRA and NASCAR this season. As the first African-American woman to race in the highly competitive NHRA Top Sportsman drag racing series, she made her mark on history again when she debuted as a NASCAR Limited Late Model Series driver on March 16, 2013 at Hickory Motor Speedway.

"Royal Purple has a reputation for making the best products in the industry. I trust that dedication to quality in everything from my daily driver to my NHRA drag racing and NASCAR cars. To be selected as an Outperformer for my accomplishments and to have my racing endeavors supported by Royal Purple is truly an honor," said Lyons.

Lyons' next NASCAR LLMS race will be April 26-27, 2013 at Hickory Motor Speedway.
